E9004N Parenting Programme Facilitator - Role Profile
Plymouth Information, Support and Advice for SEND provides information and support for all parents and carers who have concerns about their child’s education, development and wellbeing, but with a particular focus on those whose children have special educational needs. We encourage good working relationships and best practice in information exchange between parents, schools, Plymouth City Council and many other agencies. We also offer training courses for groups of parents and professionals and deliver evidence-based parenting programmes across the city.
We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic person to join our parenting team. The role involves planning and delivering evidence-based parenting programmes and workshops specifically, The Incredible Years, The Circle of Security and the Strengthening Families Plymouth Programmes. It is essential you have recent and substantive experience working alongside parents and carers using a supportive and collaborative approach. You will be trained and experienced in delivering group work and you will be a confident communicator who is able to adapt to the needs of the group. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference to families and has an interest in children with special educational needs.
The right candidate will have excellent working knowledge of early intervention, recent legislation, SEN and the challenges facing families today.
