Job Purpose
Oversees and delivers an efficient and effective maintenance service within a Priory site to assist in the wellbeing, comfort and safety of patients, colleagues and visitors. Ensures adherence to the General Property Maintenance Guide
Responsibilities
- Ensures the maintenance of a well decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the unit, in line with quality standards, and follows work processes which comply with statutory regulations.
- Responsible for ensuring that all local maintenance checks are carried out at the intervals as prescribed in the General Property Maintenance Guide and reporting any issues to the Support Services Manager and the Hospital Director.
- Responsible for establishing local relationships with contracts, ensuring appropriate checks are completed and are the first point of contact.
- Liaises with local contractors on site, as required, providing local knowledge and guidance, in order that planned and preventative maintenance schedules can be completed in a timely fashion.
- Certifies purchase orders and invoices ensuring that any spends are appropriately preauthorised and within budget.
- Responsible for maintaining the site Planned Preventative Maintenance Planner (PPM) and working with external contractors to ensure the technical inspections are carried out appropriately.
- Individuals will not be required, nor should they, carry out any works that require a certification unless they are in possession of an in date and correct certificate.

Experience
- Experience gained within a facilities, operational, trade or maintenance role.
- Needs experience of H&S requirement including risk assessments and method statement · Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly moving and handing techniques , and cosh assessments.
About Priory Kneesworth
Kneesworth House is a 155 bed mental health hospital situated in Cambridgeshire (on the borders of Hertfordshire) with good commuting access to / from London. The hospital has a full pathway of care including medium, low secure, locked rehabilitation and open recovery wards situated across the site.
