Parcel Sorter Nights Part Time United Kingdom

Evri
Full Time United Kingdom 10.81 - 16.22 GBP HOURLY Today
Job description

At EVRi we’re always on the lookout for new talent. As a strong, ambitious business we don't stand still, always working hard to act and adapt. Fast. We aim to think inside and outside the box, striving to be the carrier of choice for every consumer in the UK.

We currently have exciting, flexible opportunities for Unidentified Parcel Operative or Parcel Reconciliation Operatives as we like to call them to join our growing Tyneside depot. We have full-time, part time, permanent and fixed term roles available.

What We Can Offer You:

£10.81 per hour with an overtime rate of £16.22 once fulltime hours are completed.

In addition to our competitive salary, our full time colleagues enjoy a minimum of 32 days’ annual leave (including Bank Holidays), 3% contribution into your pension. On top of this, we deliver a fantastic range of flexible benefits. Whether it's shopping vouchers, insurance or healthcare we provide some great perks tailored to you as an individual.

Feeling ambitious? All our roles offer exciting opportunities to climb the career ladder into depot managerial positions. We also offer the opportunity to boost any driving qualifications to a HGV Class 2 or Class 1 driver.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll be responsible for supporting your Supervisor and Day Manager by working with the shift and ensuring that any misplaced packages with missing or damaged labels are sent on to their owner or back to our clients as required. You may also repack parcels with damaged packaging but no damage to the parcel and then forward on to our couriers for delivery.

You will step up and use your initiative to make sure that parcels are tracked and returned swiftly by working with various parts of our network including our Hubs, sub-Depots, Couriers and clients so excellent communication skills are necessary in this role.

You’ll report in to your Inbound Process Supervisor and you will assist in providing leadership across the returns team. Some of your responsibilities will be to manage small projects and take ownership of particular areas.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to grow their career with us and take on more of an autonomous role where you will manage your time and work.

You must be able to work well in a team and take the lead on projects. Our full-time contracts are 40hrs per week, either working exclusively days or nights, including some weekend shifts. Full time is any 5 shifts out of 7, rotas are given in advance. Flexible and part-time hours are also available.

Essential Skills & Experience Required:

  • Comply with company and health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
  • Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
  • Ensure scanning compliance
  • Physical fitness
