A top City law firm with offices all over the world are looking to hire a Real Estate Paralegal for a 12-month fixed term contract (with a strong probablility of further extensions).
The role is extremely varied, and requires someone intelligent, personable and flexible to make a success of this role.
The role is back-filling a Real Estate Paralegal who we placed in the team 2 years ago.
This individual has gone on to secure a training contract with another top law firm, hence the vacancy.
The role is expected to cover the following tasks:
- Preparing and issuing the sales package
- Negotiating contract terms
- Creating leases and AFLs (Agreements for Lease)
- Preparing protocol forms (including draft replies for clients)
- Analysing title and providing responses to inquiries
- Facilitating the deed of covenant, license for assignment/alterations
- Obtaining indemnity insurance
- Preparing for exchange and completion
- Supporting Land Registry requisitions
- Conducting due diligence in real estate financing
- Registering priority searches for the lender's charge
- Assisting in reporting title to the lender
- Ensuring compliance with the CML handbook before drawdown
- Submitting our title certificate to the lender and following their instructions for drawdown
- Utilising Legatics to meet the lender's compliance requirements
- Assisting with post-completion matters
- Handling lease extensions
- Auction sales
Requirements:
- Paralegal experience in at least one of the following areas; Real Estate, Construction and Real Estate Finance.
