Job description
KML Windows Inc., a division of Andersen Corporation, is currently seeking a Production Associate I – Industrial Cleaner on the day or afternoon shift.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies and help ensure co-workers are working safely and following safety requirements.
· Empty outdoor ashtrays on a daily basis, shovel and salt walkways/entrances, mop up spills & wet foot traffic areas.
· Cleaning of booths and stacks, and painting building, racks, and equipment (at heights occasionally).
· Humidification head cleaning (at heights).
· Line grinding and painting.
· Sweep plant floor, clean carpets, operate ride-on unit floor cleaner, polish floors, etc.
· Clean and maintain lunchroom, washrooms and offices/desks (filling paper & soap dispensers, vacuuming, sweeping/mopping, garbage/recycling, etc.)
· Wastewater treatment and processing.
· Follow all applicable procedures, clean-up times, Standardized Work, etc. and participate in defining and improving standard work.
· Learn, understand, and implement Andersen Management Systems (AMS) and continuous improvement concepts.
· Support and participate in Employee engagement activities.
· Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support resource planning.
· Identify problems; communicate issues to Work Center Leads and Supervisors.
· Support a respectful workplace.
· Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or GED.
· Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks in a timely manner.
· Possess communication, teamwork, problem solving, and leadership skills.
· Dependability/punctuality.
· Demonstrates a positive attitude with the ability to interact effectively with other departments.
· Ability to work at heights to conduct cleaning activities at ceiling level.
· Proven ability to work independently.
· Demonstrates a positive attitude with the ability to interact effectively with other departments.
· Strong communication skills (written, verbal & listening).
Available Shift:
· Day Shift - 5am - 1:30pm or Afternoon Shift - 3:30pm - 12am, Monday to Friday
Salary: PI ($21.09 - $22.77 per hour)
