Job description
An opportunity to play your part –As the successfully chosen candidate you will gain the exposure to working collaboratively with the Procurement, Supply Chain, Global Business Services, Finance, and all business areas across Centrica to standardise Purchase to Pay activities within purchasing and the ERP systems. You will continually support the areas of business including purchasing systems, aligning them to the standards and ensuring they are meeting controls and compliance.
The day to day
- Work collaboratively with Procurement, Supply Chain, Global Business Services, Finance, and business areas across Centrica to standardise Purchase to Pay activities across all purchasing and ERP systems.
- Support and work collaboratively with our 3rd party Supply Chain partner to ensure that our Purchase to Pay activities are efficient, controlled, and the processes have no negative impact on our 3rd party suppliers or customers.
- Work closely with DTS to identify process improvement opportunities across the Purchase to Pay landscape.
- Drive process compliance across all Centrica businesses which will deliver benefits in the Accounts Payable process.
- Ensure controls are applied and actioned across the Purchase to Pay process.
- Ensure regulatory requirements are met across the Purchase to Pay process.
- Ensure Centrica runs a world class vendor onboarding and Purchase to Pay process.
- Work closely with the Centrica Tax team to ensure all Purchase to Pay activities are compliant with regulations.
- Ensure all standards and polices reflect current process.
- Ensure all M&A businesses are integrated into or separated from vendor and purchasing process accordingly.
- Supports BPO and onshore service for transactional Vendor and Purchase to Pay activities.
- Supply support where needed in the Ariba and SLP onboarding process.
About you
- Extensive Purchase to Pay operational experience in a large complex organization.
- Experience of working closely with Procurement systems including Ariba and SLP.
- Financial accounting experience.
- Management of a team, performance, and operational outputs.
- Experience of working in a shared services organization.
- Experience of working in a matrix organisation involving senior level stakeholder management and influencing.
- Strong change management skills, with excellent written and oral communication, able to articulate ideas and concepts.
- Strategic orientation, able to balance short- and long-term deliverables.
- Influencing and stakeholder management with ability to understand processes from multiple points of view.
- Delivery focused with ability to resolve problems and innovate.
- Strong diligence: comfortable in getting into low levels of detail in a process as required, but equally able to apply a materiality/strategic perspective as needed.
- Able to drive best practice through continuous process improvement.
- Business acumen and ability to think and deliver against strategic goals.
- Ideally Degree educated in Business related subject or relevant experience work Experience.
- Experienced in process improvement, documentation, and controls.
