We are looking to recruit a Bar Assistant/Waiter.
Petersham Nurseries Café, is a charmingly casual yet sophisticated restaurant, set within one of the glasshouses, we also have an outside dining area. Our Café is an oasis that never fails to captivate and enchant. Respecting the Slow Food philosophy, the Café serves seasonal, Italian inspired food.
The Role of Bar Assistant/Waiter
Petersham Nurseries Richmond are looking for a creative and experienced Assistant Bar Waiter to join our team. We are passionate about food, sustainability and all that comes with it. This role will suit a candidate that can deliver exceptional service and build rapport and long-term relationships with guests. At the same time the ideal candidate would have creative mixology, cocktail and wine knowledge. You will be working closely with our Bar Manager.

- Must have the Right to work in The UK - Proof required prior to interview

- A proven track record of Bar work.
- Be customer focused, welcoming, committed and diligent
- Natural team player with effective communication skills
- Willingness to learn and progress within the industry
- Ability to maintain and follow recipes, standards and guidelines
- Good health & safety awareness
- Adhere to stock control procedures
Main Responsibilities
- Assist the Bar Manager with the daily bar operations.
- This is a physical role which will include lifting crates and deliveries and keeping the bar sufficiently stocked and organised throughout the shift.
- Meet or exceed daily targets, through high quality of customer service, product knowledge and product standards.
- Make sure all the Company standards are met daily.
- To handle guest requests, enquires complaints, and communicate accordingly.
- Ensure compliance for licensing, health and safety legislation/ guidelines
