Packing Floor Worker

Shift Pattern: Afternoon Shift

Monday - Thursday 2 pm - 10 pm

Friday 1 pm - 8 pm


Purpose of Role:

To supply bulk stock / consumables to packing stations and remove finished stocks from stations efficiently.

To ensure all product information and paper work is correct and accurate before distribution.

To ensure that the correct floor worker procedure is followed in line with S.O.P and risk assessment for the department.


Responsibilities Include:

Health &Safety

  • To conform with all company health & safety procedures.
  • To report all near misses and accidents.
  • To report all defective equipment.
  • To ware all PPE when needed.
  • To report and replace all defective PPE.

Daily Duties


  • To identify and then obtain the bulk product to be brought into the packing area to be packed.
  • To supply the appropriate packing station with the correct boxes, bags, box / bag labels and bulk product according to the works order.
  • To ensure bulk product is maintained at each sealing station during packing runs.
  • To remove all finished product from each sealing station and stack on to pallets, ensuring the box label is checked for the following:
  • That the box contents correspond with the box label information
  • That the packer identification number is clearly visible
  • That the box is in pristine condition
  • On completion of a pallet to add the floor worker I.D stamp before placing it onto the lift to send to Logistics.
  • Ensure all used tote trays / boxes are removed from the packing area. Placed onto a pallet and sent to Logistics.
  • Compact/Bail cardboard and Plastic waste along with any other rubbish removal from the department.
  • Ensuring that correct floor worker procedure is followed in line with S.O.P.
  • Communication with team members to ensure product flow occurs efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • All housekeeping procedures/requirements are always maintained to a high standard.
  • Additional duties to be performed as required by the Packing supervision team to meet business requirements within the department.
