What will you be doing?
As part of our NPD team you will be the subject matter expert across a broad range of packaging commodity types ensuring product performance, food safety and value are considered at every step of the way. You’ll be passionate about getting to know our consumer and customer needs, learning about their trends to shape and deliver brilliant, sustainable, packaging experiences.
We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Technologist, you will lead a variety of packaging Innovation & Renovation projects, providing technical expertise to customers across multiple locations and functional areas.
Whilst there is no formal supervisory responsibility, you will indirectly provide project related leadership, direction and guidance to cross-functional team members to external suppliers.
Hybrid working – Minimum of 3 days a week at our Thames Refinery and 2 days from home.
What are we looking for?
- Broad knowledge of packaging materials and packaging equipment, preferably within the food and beverage or CPG industry
- Working knowledge of key materials – poly film corrugates, paperboard etc…
- Experience using Cape Pack pallentisation software or similar
- Challenge conventional thinking on packaging related subjects – continuously strive to implement creative solutions and improve business impact
