We have an exciting opportunity for commercially-savvy and passionate customer-minded people to join our Sales team, with contract sizes from 12 - 30 hours a week to offer you more flexibility.

We have varied opportunities in both our Showroom and Market Hall.

Induction date: 29 and 30 June or 06 and 07 July (09:30am - 17:00pm).

WHAT WE OFFER

• IKEA is a Living Wage Foundation Employer (£10.90 an hour).
• We offer a variety of contract sizes to give you flexibility, starting from 12 hours to 30 hours a week.
• We operate 7 days a week, and will do our best to accommodate your availability.
• Our busiest times are at the weekends and evenings, and evening and weekend work will be required. Ordinarily, work will be over 3 in 4 weekends.

WHO YOU ARE
You are solution-orientated, curious about life at home and about co-creating the 'wonderful everyday' with our customers. You are confident in approaching customers, treating them in a polite and friendly manner.

You have an entrepreneurial spirit, ambition to grow with us at IKEA, and a motivated mindset. You also enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. For this role, it is important that you are passionate about home furnishings (especially childrens' furniture and accessories), and care about good customer service. In IKEA, we place great emphasis on leading others and ourselves with a positive approach, even during the busiest and most challenging times.

Ideally, for this role you will have sales, retail or customer service experience of at least 6 months.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY

• You actively approach customers to identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings.
• You are always passionate about our product range and home furnishings, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design.
• You support maximising sales by being proud of your areas of responsibility, ensuring the customer meets an area that is clean, well presented, and easy to shop.
