Job description
Dalston Mill Fabrics is a family run business who have been involved in the textiles industry for over 40 years. We are rapidly growing our online business with direct to consumer cut length fabric sales. From crafters and dressmakers to small designers and hobbyists we are on our way to becoming the one stop shop they need.
We are currently looking for someone for a role as order packer in a busy fabrics warehouse.
The Role
The bulk of our orders are fabrics which are prepared by other team members and passed to the packer for checking, completion and packing.
Packer will count the items picked and match against the order sheet, spotting any mistakes made.
Additional items such as threads and samples to be added in to the order, so eye for detail is nessesary for matching colours.
Orders are bagged or boxed and sealed - address lables added.
Additional tasks include
- Monitoring stock of threads, packaging materials etc
- Keeping thread stock tidy
- Franking and courrier lable duties.
The Candidate
You are calm under pressure, quick to spot your own mistakes, learn and have an eye for detail.
