Job description

Established in 1984, our client has grown into one of the world’s most reliable telecommunications technology and solutions providers covering over 1500 people with a strong portfolio across OSS, BSS, and VAS solutions.

They deliver comprehensive technology solutions for next-generation network operators including fixed/broadband wireless/mobile service providers, cable MSO, wholesale, local/international carriers and enterprise business telecommunications providers.

Within OSS they have 5 solutions which cover Inventory, Service Assurance (PM / FM), Network Visualization, Fiber Network Design, and Cooper & FiberTesting. We are looking for a Solutions Architect to cover these OSS solutions but with a particular focus on Inventory solutions.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Experience in the OSS Network Inventory Management Domain.
  • Deep understanding of Telecom Network design and architectures
  • Broad end-to-end view across OSS and BSS technologies and ecosystems including associated technologies such as service assurance/analytics, #SDN/ #NFV and cloud infrastructure, service orchestration & #OSS a#utomation, mediation, billing & charging, #IoT and service exposure.
  • Understanding of Inventory Management, Discovery, Activation, Performance, and Fault Management
  • Expertise in design and implementation of physical, logical and service inventory models across network technologies
  • Experience in network inventory migration
  • Deep understanding of service fulfilment processes – Plan to Build, Order to Service
  • Experience with orchestration tools such
  • Understanding of the Telco OSS Service Fulfilment ecosystem and ideally knowledge of one or more of the following inventory systems – Amdocs ARM (Cramer), Ericsson Granite, #Netcracker, Oracle MetaSolv, etc.
  • Expert domain knowledge in multiple telecom technologies ( #DWDM , #SDH , #SONET, #Ethernet , IP, MPLS etc)
  • Understanding of #eTOM processes and# TAM applications
  • Knowledge of #TmForum Open Digital Framework and Open APIs
  • Assisting the Pre-sales teams
  • A bachelor\'s degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering or a related field is necessary for this position
  • Experience in the communications-related industry(s) operational experience and/or implementing OSS projects within those markets.
  • Solution Architecture in the telco OSS domain
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to travel as required
The role can be based anywhere in Europe (home based)
