Working as part of a new and exciting Electric Vehicle (EV) charging team to deliver the business strategy to be at the forefront of rapid and reliable charging across the UK, the job holder will play a key role in the most important customer metric of maintaining an industry leading EV charging equipment uptime. Accountable for the relationship with our customer service partner and maintenance provider and empowered to plan, manage, and coordinate all activities, both technical and physical, related to EV equipment uptime.
Role is flexibly based from any of our support offices in London or Coventry. The post holders will be also required to travel to sites across the UK when required.
What you need to do
Management of the contract with our customer service partner and maintenance provider and internal stakeholders relationships to deliver industry leading EV Equipment uptime.
- Accountable for the Supplier Relationship Management for our EV Customer Service Partner and EV Maintenance Contractor.
- Proactive analysis of trends and industry data to develop and maintain a planned maintenance programme.
- Management of the day-to-day reactive issues, ensuring that all works are carried out strictly within statutory and health and safety guidelines and within the agreed SLA’s.
- Create and maintain a capital and revenue plan, including sign off for and reporting against.
- Develop and maintain warranty claim processes to newly invested assets ensuring no additional contractual spend where applicable.
- Strategically review asset age, condition, and dilapidation reports to provide the business with clear and precise understanding of where investment is required.
- Create an environment of continuous improvement, specifically, operational uptime, capital efficiency and environmental.
- Manage and minimise the risks, operational or reputational.
- Consider the environmental impact of the maintenance solutions to meet sustainability targets.
- Communicate with and influence senior stakeholders, as appropriate, on activity and risks.
- Stay alert to new trends and developments in the sector.
What you need to know and show
- The role requires a flexible and innovate approach, in both the physical and technical space, with a strong focus on ‘Making it Happen’.
- Previous experience working in a facilities management role in a fast paced, complex delivery environment, preferably within an EV charging or similar sector.
- Be able to create great relationships and networks with the ability to work collaboratively with internally and external teams, with experience of working with multiple outsourced services providers
- Experience of managing third party suppliers and contracts, holding them to account to deliver in line with their contract.
- A logical and systematic approach to work to deliver structured, well planned, and thoughtful projects that deliver credible information to influence the maintenance strategy.
- Demonstrate an ability to analyse data, using insights to drive decisions and investment recommendations
- The ability to solve problems and make decision, as well as think strategically and laterally.
- Able to manage time effectively in the face of conflicting priorities and timescales.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to present investment strategies and plans.
- Good financial capability, with the ability to prioritise spend to drive efficient service and maximise efficiency.

- Capital and revenue budget for the EV maintenance programme.
