Job description

Jump Street is Essex's Largest Indoor Activity Centre. We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our team, managing operations at both our Chelmsford and Colchester sites.

Tasks and Responsibilities include:

- Manage and oversee a team of full time and part-time park staff, including the park team leaders.

- Train all park staff and aid with staff growth and development throughout their employment.

- Support the General Manager with Health and Safety training, awareness and documentation.

- Manage the day to day running of the building, providing support to all staff and departments, ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction are achieved.

- Completion of staff rotas to ensure all areas of park are covered within the correct ratios and ensure there is a key holder to open and close the building each day.

- Look after the maintenance, servicing, repair and safety of all park and Clip N Climb equipment.

- Carry out and oversee relevant daily, weekly, monthly and 6 monthly safety checks, sign offs and risk assessments in relation to the park and climbing equipment.

- Conduct spot checks to ensure that safety checks are being completed to a high standard

- Ensure first aid equipment is stocked and accessible to staff and customers.

- Organise relevant first aid training for staff and ensure at all times, there are first aid trained staff accessible and on shift.

- Monitor the recording of accidents and injuries, informing the general manager immediately of any serious incidents and taking immediate action to ensure customers and staff are safe.

- Dealing with any complaints and feedback face to face, via email or over the phone.

- Work with other department heads, assisting with the cover of any sickness or staff shortfall within other departments.

- Deputising for other department managers in regard to the management of all staff.

- Instantly deal with any unsatisfactory staff behaviour or misconduct and report to the Assistant General Manager so that correct HR and disciplinary procedures are followed. Report any concerns relating to staff welfare to the Assistant General Manager.

- Ensure all changes to staff shifts are recorded on RotaCloud including sickness and Annual Leave.

Experience:

- Leisure: 2 years (Required)

- Experience in a Team Leader / Management role: 1 year (Required)

- Experience in Health & Safety: Preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
