Location: Green Energy Switch, Ham Lane House, Ham Lane, Peterborough, PE2 5UU (with hybrid working model in place)
Hours/Week Full time – 37 hours per week
Responsible for: Operations team
Reports to: Director
Salary: £35,000 per annum

Role overview
The Operations Manager will lead and collaborate on strategic and operational planning, and the ongoing delivery and development of GES services across the UK. The role will lead and bring together a team of colleagues, inspiring our continued ideas and deliver impactful projects. The Operations Manager will build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to market, promote and inspire others to become a GES customer.

Project Management
- Lead projects from start to finish, making sure they are efficient. Flag any issues or resource issues to the Director.
- Review project processes, systems and procedures so they meet current demands
- Ensure your team are working collaboratively, effectively and efficiently
- Be assured at all times operational delivery is up-to-date, work is completed, including data handling/ storage
- Quality assure that all customers/partners are expertly supported through their key account manager
- Define delivery against targets by producing weekly project reports to the Director.
- Achieve targets as set in the business plan and career conversations
Project Operations
- Drive customer acquisition
- Manage the projects to ensure maximum returns for customer and GES
- Nurture existing supplier/external relationships to ensure the projects are running well/SLA’s are met
- Lead weekly/monthly review meetings with the relevant partners
- Provide the Director with monthly project performance reports
- Achieve targets as set in the business plan
Person specification - About You
- Experience and understanding of the energy/housing sector
- Experienced Manager with at least 3 years line management experience
- Driven and inspired by challenging targets
- Natural and authentic people leadership skill and experience, able to show and train others
- Confident communicator, verbal and written, with the ability to make the complex simple without losing key ideas and messages
- Naturally outward looking, able to grow and harvest long term relationships with new and existing customers/partners
- Minimum of Level 4 qualification in relevant subject area or qualified by experience
- Passion, enthusiasm, understanding of environment/sustainable development issues
- Creative thinker, collaborative, adaptable, energetic, organised, great at listening
- IT savvy
- Share our GES values and behaviours
