The Role:
TBS Design Gallery is the premier showroom to the interior design industry located in Santa Clara. The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Design Gallery, event planning and execution, assisting the Design team in project management, and ensuring exceptional client service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily gallery operations including scheduling staff, managing inventory, and handling customer inquiries and needs
- Manage relationships with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure that the gallery remains at the forefront of the design community
- Oversee gallery event planning, execution and attending to help cultivate new customer relationships
- Day-today support of senior leadership in creating and implementing existing and new systems
- Calendar management - new clients and appointments, design meetings
- Manage company systems such as Expensify, Zoho, Box and more
- Assist company in developing, implementing and maintaining system processes and strategies
- Maintain a high level of customer service and ensure that all staff are trained to provide exceptional service to customers
- Manage company recruiting process to include job description creation, shortlisting of candidates, interviewing, onboarding and offboarding employees
- Assist Design Team in day-to-day project management of current projects and work orders, subcontractors and client needs as-needed
- Other duties as assigned by senior management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in art, interior design, business administration, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in a management role in a gallery or similar environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
- Good judge of character
- Appreciation for exceptional design and the work of artisans
- Experience in interior design or visual merchandising preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Compensation
- $73,000 - $83,000 Depending on Experience
