Job Title: Operation Clerk

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday PM Shift (hours to be confirmed)

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Job Outline:

  • Responsible for receiving and unpacking stock, completing relevant documentation, and dispatching stock.
  • Ensure the smooth function of all warehouse activities under the supervision of the warehouse manager or supervisor.
  • Maintaining accurate systems for data management, ensuring that you deliver an excellent service to clients.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • To process all paperwork quickly and accurately
  • Meet daily targets set out by the warehouse manager/supervisor
  • To ensure stock discrepancies are resolved and actioned within 24 hours.
  • Competency in the job will be measured through appraisal system

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receiving, checking and processing deliveries to ensure that the correct amount and type of stock is delivered
  • Communicate any receiving issues and/or discrepancies to the warehouse manager or supervisor
  • Preparing client orders for delivery or pickup by picking, packing, wrapping, labelling and loading stock
  • Handling the packing list and/or bill of lading for all product received into the warehouse
  • Scanning all packing lists/BOL into database
  • Printing pull request containing the locations, number of pallets, product and any partial pull documents.
  • Performing inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
  • Updating pallet locations in the database on a regular basis
  • Following proper documentation and safety procedures of all warehouse functions
  • Oversee the organizing, stacking and storage of commodities by warehouse loaders and cleaners
  • Ensuring the warehouse remains clean, sanitary and well-organised
  • Ensuring the proper maintenance of warehouse equipment and goods
  • Reporting all breakages and spills
  • Performing all duties assigned by the warehouse manager or supervisor

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Experience required for this role:

Essential:

  • Warehouse / Logistics admin experience
  • Sound knowledge of shipping processes
  • Ability to handle and manoeuvre fragile stock with ease
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Time management
  • Good organisation skills
  • Effective Team member Willingness to learn

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract

Salary: From £11.00 per hour
