Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist with excellent interpersonal skills to join our Therapies management team to operational manage and lead the Occupational Therapy service within the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. You will be responsible for approximately 30 staff supporting the management and service delivery of a number of in-patient teams: surgical, stroke, medical, and palliative and a bespoke upper limb outpatient team.

You will be expected to undertake a small patient caseload within their specialised clinical area and along with the other Therapy leads will be required to deputise for the Therapy Services Manager in their absence.

You must possess well developed leadership skills with financial appreciation and a knowledge and application of workforce policies. Evidence of relevant staff management experience, quality improvement and service development underpinned by relevant clinical experience within an acute hospital setting is essential. You will have knowledge of the national and local drivers shaping health and social care and proven skills in supporting service redesign and transformation in line with national and local priorities.
