Online Trading Executive - Technology and Beauty
At a glance:
Salary range - The salary range for this role is set at £25,200 - £34,500 (Depending on experience)
Contract type - This position is a permanent contract (initially a 12 month secondment/FTC)
Working pattern/flexible working - We know flexible working is important to you, and it is important to us too. The Partnership has adopted a blended working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Online Trading team aim for around 1 core day per week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings but again, are flexible on this. The role is based at our Victoria campus.
About the role:
Our Online Trading Team is responsible for maximising the conversion of our JohnLewis.com site, balancing customer and commercial needs across the digital ecosystem. We are looking for Online Trading Executives, who are key to this success. This position sits within our Technology & Beauty team.
Key responsibilities:
In the role you will be accountable for:
Prioritising content briefs in line with seasonal trade plan requirements.
Ensuring site checks and subsequent recommendations are acted upon in a timely manner to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
Workload prioritisation to ensure web merchandising standards are met.
Accurate briefing in line with trading deadlines and supplier obligations
Process execution
Data report production and cleansing
What will you be doing?
As an Online Trading Executive you will carry out daily site checks and highlight optimisation opportunities across search, navigation, content and hierarchy, making recommendations and taking action to improve the online customer experience.
You will also use online merchandising systems and tools to help deliver online optimisations and system changes to support SEO optimisation and communicate timeframes for delivery.
Part of the role will include briefing on-site content in a timely and accurate fashion to support the seasonal trade calendar and site optimisation requirements across Site, App, Homepage, Social & Email.
You will be a diligent, organised and accurate individual responsible for the timely and accurate execution and implementation of the in-season online trade plan.

Experience receiving information from various sources to writing accurate briefs using existing templates.
Commercially minded
Detail oriented & numerate
Strong planning and time management skills
Maintains accuracy through repetitive tasks such as site checks

Digital awareness - you will appreciate the importance and impact of requirements for online retailing
