Contract/Hours: 35 hours per week

Closing date: 22 nd February 2023
Interview date: w/c 6 th March 2023
Our Online Community is a key element of our national Peer Support service. You will lead and manage the day-to-day workings, and the longer-term development, of the Online Community.
The Online Community sits within the charity’s national Information and Support (I&S) service.
You will initially help us to relaunch our Online Community, by working with partners and stakeholders, including our Technology and Digital team, to ensure the architecture of our Online Community is as good as it can be for its users – this will require some project management skills, and enthusiasm and tenacity to overcome any problems you may face.
Another key part of the role, particularly once the Community is relaunched, is to recruit and manage volunteers who will moderate and contribute to the Community. We want to make the Online Community a welcoming and helpful space for people that are looking for peer support. We already have an Online Community with 3000+ registered users, but we are confident that we can support many more, and have ambitious plans to grow in the next three years.
What we are looking for:
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Demonstrable project management skills and knowledge
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Skilled at developing and maintaining relationships across the organisation, both in person and virtually
- Ability to work on own initiative and to adopt a pro-active approach to issues and offer appropriate solutions
- Understanding of the value an Online Community can provide, and an appreciation of how this might fit into a multi-channel environment (i.e. alongside a helpline, and web chat).
You will also ideally have experience of leading a volunteer service, or working in a support environment.
What’s in it for you:
- Continued access to NHS Pension Scheme (subject to eligibility)
- Marie Curie Group Personal Pension Scheme
- Season ticket loan
- Loan schemes for bikes; computers and satellite navigation systems
- Continuous development
- Industry leading training programmes
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Flexible Working
