Job description
- Ensure that all activities are carried out with the highest regard to the health and safety of all involved and to the protection of the environment and prevention of pollution
- Ensure that all work is undertaken to the highest quality and professionalism in accordance with the company Integrate Management System and project specific documentation
- Identify personal training needs, bring them to the attention of the department manager and to take full advantage of the training opportunities provided
- Reception cover will be required for Fugro Aberdeen on a rotational basis, in conjunction with other office assistant(s).
- Holiday and sickness cover will require full-time reception cover
- Open/sorting of incoming mail for Fugro Aberdeen
- Distribution of external mail, faxes and internal mail throughout the building (currently two mail runs per day)
- Franking all outgoing mail, recorded delivery, registered mail and overseas mail, maintaining records of all outgoing mail, liaison with mail collection services
- General office duties for other departments as required
- Ensure personal appearance is appropriate for reception duties
- Ensure that the smooth running and operation of the reception area at both Fugro House and Survey House site are maintained at all times, ensuring that all calls are answered promptly and courteously
- Provision of effective and efficient mailroom and office services
- Ensure good team-working relationships with other office assistant(s) and department secretaries
