In the role you will be:
- Testing, servicing, and maintaining a varied fleet of small tools.
- Keeping workshop jobs up to date and servicing schedule maintained.
- Assisting customers in yard and demonstrate equipment as required.
- Ensuring all small plant equipment is turned and kept in good condition.
- Assessing cause of breakdown, ensuring parts are ordered and fitted.
- Keeping order books and job cards up to date.
- Ensuring that plant is regularly serviced and recorded correctly onto the hire system.
- Keeping Department Manager and hire desk up to date with progress of ongoing repairs.
- Ensuring all tools are clean and passed as fit for hire.
- Keeping stores tidy and ensuring all parts are booked out.
- Ordering parts where necessary.
What will help you to excel in this role:
- A good understanding of mechanics/engines is desirable, however full training will be provided.
- Good customer service and IT skills are required.
- The ability to plan your workload and meet time deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own.
