OFFICE ASSISTANT

This is an exciting opportunity within Alpha Data Parallel Systems Ltd.
Alpha Data is a leading global supplier of high-performance COTS reconfigurable computer platforms and support software. Alpha Data has established a global customer base and reputation for leading edge design.
Due to continued growth at our site in Edinburgh we are looking for an Office Assistant to join our team, on a Full-Time basis.
Alpha Data is based within a modern office building close to Edinburgh City Centre with excellent transport links nearby.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, responsibilities will include:
· Reception duties
. Helping to screen incoming calls
. Manage the post and Greet Visitors providing refreshments.
. Updating contact lists and Scheduling Meetings/ Management of the meeting rooms.
. Assist in the processing of Purchase Ledger invoices and liaise with the Production Department to ensure compliance with established policies (resolving queries)
. Supplies control (stationery, refreshments, bathroom supplies) and general office tidiness
. Assist in the packaging of goods being shipped to customers within courier deadlines.
Essential Skills
. The ideal candidate will be able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Good levels of IT literacy including MS Office tools.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels.
· Able to work effectively to deadlines and under pressure.
Desirable
· Knowledge of Sage 200 or Sage50, however not essential as training will be provided.
