Job description

Job Title: Admin Assistant

Overall Job Purpose: We are looking for a dedicated and efficient individual to join our client as an Administrative Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of company procedures by completing various administrative tasks. You will also be the initial point of contact for general inquiries, providing exceptional customer service and conducting courtesy calls.

Responsible to: Office Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls, direct queries to the appropriate departments, and provide necessary assistance to callers.
  • Handle general inquiries.
  • Effectively handle minor complaints, further enhancing productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in maintaining key office processes to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Accurately input and manage essential data in the company's operational system.
  • Organize digital and paper office file systems in line with your line manager's requirements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp new tasks and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve shared objectives and contribute to a positive work culture.

Personal Qualities and Qualifications:

Personal Specifications:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a busy office environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using office software and applications (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, email, etc.).
  • Quick learner with the ability to prioritize workload and perform well under pressure.
  • Flexible approach to work, with the willingness to assist in various office activities as needed.
  • Ability to work well on your own initiative and as part of a team.

Qualifications and Certification:

  • Minimum of GCSEs, including English and Maths (Grade A*-C or 4-9).
  • In the absence of formal qualifications, relevant previous experience will be considered.

Additional Information:

Contract type: Permanent, full-time or part-time.

Hours/Days: Monday to Friday, flexible hours.

Pay:Up to £23,000.00 p/a.

Location:Uffculme.

Salary: £21,700.00-£23,000.00 per year
