Permanent, Full Time (36 hours per week and 52 weeks per year)
Working under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist, you will carry out Occupational Therapy recommendations to support learners with learning differences such as ADHD, dyspraxia, ASD, learning disabilities and complex needs.
You will liaise with the teaching teams and family/carers to provide a co-ordinated approach and ensure Occupational Therapy recommendations are integrated into each learner’s day. Monitoring therapeutic recommendations to ensure effectiveness, you will contribute and carry out Holistic support plans and prepare contributions for EHCP reviews as required.
We’d like our Occupational Therapy Assistant to have previous experience of working with a caseload of young adults with a wide range of learning differences and support needs. You’ll have experience of devising and implementing Occupational Therapy recommendations and of contributing to assessment reports or feedback for a wide audience.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team is a key part of the role. You will be able to support through the delivery of quality therapeutic recommendations, communication development, staff development and student success.
This is a cross-site position with the main locations being Merton College and Kingston College.
