Job description
Purpose: To ensure Mill, Packing room ,Warehouses and yard are cleaned to a satisfactory level.
Hours: 8 - 5 pm
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Cleaning : Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping surfaces, to ensure the cleanliness of production floors, walls equipment, and workstations. Use appropriate cleaning agents and follow established procedures to maintain sanitary conditions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain rice processing machinery, conveyor belts, and other equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and prevent contamination. Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Waste Management: Collect and dispose of waste materials, including empty sacks, packaging materials, and other debris, in designated areas following proper waste management guidelines. Sort recyclable materials as required.
- Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing cleaning tasks. Report any potential hazards or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate with other team members, supervisors, and maintenance staff to ensure smooth operations and address any cleaning-related issues or requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in maintaining the quality standards of the rice factory by ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in all areas, minimizing the risk of contamination, and promoting food safety.
· Reporting any non-conformances including Pest, Security, Quality, Food Safety and Integrity issues and other relevant issues to your line Manager or Technical Manager.
· Any other task as required for continuous improvement of Plant Performance, Food Safety, Health & Safety and Legality.
· Responsibility for Health & Safety of themselves and others in area.
