We are seeking an innovative and creative individual to join the team co-delivering recovery focused education within the Recovery College at Thurrock. The Recovery College delivers a range of mental health education via establishing an Individual Learning Plan, and running workshops and courses, working with the students to identify areas of learning to support their mental well-being within their life journey.
You should be a committed, motivated individual, interested in working with those needing support in managing their general wellbeing and mental health, with an interest, working knowledge and skills of the use of therapeutic activity & wider interventions.
Although the role is based from Thurrock Health Centre, the Recovery College delivers from a variety of community locations within the Thurrock locality.
The post-holder will work under direction from senior staff and those with lived experience within the Recovery College, delivering courses within the college and supporting students (users of Recovery College) to identify their learning plans. You will support and facilitate students transitioning from specialist mental health services, and those coming directly to the Recovery College helping them to establish meaningful activities to better manage their own mental health and well being.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

The post-holder will work with students wishing to attend the recovery college, assisting them in identifying how they might best be supported within their recovery journey. The post-holder will help to identify, co-develop and deliver a variety of groups aimed to help students manage their mental health and sustain their well-being. This might be through psycho-educative, skills based or creative groups aimed towards supporting the student within their recovery pathway.
