Job description
The Doncaster Adult mental health ward are looking to recruit a Band 6 Occupational Therapist who has experience of working within the specialism of mental health. The wards provide inpatient care to 18–65-year-olds on a sectorised basis, in conjunction with the Crisis Resolution Service.
You will be part of a dedicated multi-professional team providing high quality care for people with mental health needs. Commitment to working in this area, be able to provide compassionate care and effective occupational therapy interventions for rehabilitation and recovery, working with community teams to aim for safe discharges linking in with rehabilitation wards if needed. Ensuring that the whole multi-disciplinary team works to support patients to engage in meaningful occupations which promote good mental and physical health, assist recovery and help patients achieve their personal goals – such as being able to manage daily living skills, engage in vocational, leisure and educational opportunities and participate in community activities.
