Full Time Royal Tunbridge Wells, England 21730 - 23177 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

We are excited to announce that earlier this year at Tunbridge Wells Hospital we built a new separate 24-hour Children’s Emergency Department.

Emergency Department Nursery Nurses are expected to work with all key members of the multi-disciplinary team and service users related to the speciality of Emergency Medicine. The post holder is to act as a support worker within the team, under the direction of qualified healthcare practitioners. The philosophy of Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is that the care of children should be family centred, with parents actively encouraged to participate in the care needs of their child where appropriate. It is a developing role and will allow the post holder the opportunity to take on a variety of duties and responsibilities and assist in the provision of quality patient care in all areas of the department.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint enthusiastic and highly motivated persons to undertake the role of a Nursery Nurse, to join our very busy Paediatric team within the Children’s Emergency Department at both Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

Infants, children and young people deserve the highest quality urgent and emergency care. You will join a dedicated team of experienced and motivated nurses. You will carry out duties working alongside Medical and Paediatric Nursing staff to ensure a high quality of patient centred care is delivered to children and families from 0 to 16 years.

Good communication skills towards babies, children, young people and colleagues and the ability to organise allocated work is an essential component for this post. You will be expected to maintain confidentiality and adopt a positive attitude towards staff, children and families at all times, in accordance with Trust policies and procedures, referring issues to their Line Manager as appropriate.

You will be supported to achieve their competencies to fulfil the requirements of the role.
