BayWa r.e. Data Services GmbH – a wholly-owned subsidiary of BayWa r.e. AG – is responsible for all data related topics in the BayWa r.e. group. We operate a control centre, a data analytics team, and the SCADA team, which is responsible for connecting sites to the internet, data acquisition and the cyber security of the sites. To expand our SCADA team, we are looking for a Network Engineer for Wind and PV asset (m/f/d).

What You Will Do
- Connect new wind and PV sites to the internet
- Establish data acquisition via typical interfaces (OPC, ODBC etc.)
- Take care of the cyber security setup of the devices
- Supporting the internal and external customers during the planning and commissioning period of the sites
- Create and change communication plans and single line diagrams
- Troubleshooting and retrofit on sites managed by BayWa r.e.
- Retrofit planning of sites
- Improvement of internal systems and processes during project times
- You will work remote on sites across the globe with focus on UK sites
- Occasionally onsite support for UK based sites
What You Bring
- You have an educational and professional background in engineering, especially in networks, automation, IT or similar
- You are familiar with networks, IP-addresses, subnetting etc.
- You bring knowledge in IT-security, knowledge of OT-Security is a plus
- Open VPN and IP-Sec is your daily business
- Your experience with renewable assets is welcome but not mandatory
- Your Modbus, OPC, ODBC experience is welcome but not mandatory
- You are fluent in English, every other language is welcome
- You are a team player and enjoy working in a distributed team located in serval offices
- You are happy to travel (onsite service in UK, visits in Germany for meetings, training etc.)
- Possess the right to work in the UK
