What you will be doing:
- Assist with setting up any new business ventures and maintaining their books.
- Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions
- Creates and interprets Student Ledgers
- Compiles and submits monthly reporting to both internal and external clients
- Assists with month-end closing account reconciliations and prepares appropriate journal entries
- Creates statistical financial data spreadsheets
- Creates Financial Analysis reports as requested
- Interprets the Student Refund Policy for different campuses
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Cross-train others to complete tasks that have been assigned to them
Qualifications needed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel (required)
- Attention to detail and exceptional time management skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing Accounting software

Must work within scheduled deadlines for monthly activities by managing workload appropriately. They will be asked to train others to take over assignments that have been their responsibility when changes in assignments occur or for the purpose of cross-training. Recommending process improvement is a necessary function as we grow and the Accountant II will be required to participate in this activity. Financial information is confidential not be revealed to anyone who does not have the right to know, therefore the accountant must be aware of their audience at all times. Train cross-functionally to be able to assist or cover for Accountants and Accounting Clerks.
