Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for a Motion Graphics Designer to join our Toronto based team. Reporting to the Creative Lead, this person will conceptualize creative ideas and develop innovative graphics to support our Investment Advisors and corporate marketing initiatives. This is a permanent, full-time role with hybrid work in the office.
Responsibilities
- Support the marketing team in building compelling graphics and motion graphics and content for use in various marketing mediums, such as web, social media, presentations, events, ad campaigns, etc.
- Develop storyboards, motion graphics, animatics, animated text/titles, transitions, advanced GIF’s, logo sequences, etc.
- Edit and create short and mid-form video content for use on websites, social media, and other mediums.
- Managing day-to-day projects using timelines and workback plans, keeping the business updated on status and approvals.
- Keeping abreast of current and emerging digital marketing design trends and competitor operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in motion graphics, video editing, graphic design, animation, visual communications, or related discipline.
- A strong portfolio showcasing professional work examples that demonstrate concept development and creative execution with excellent use of typography, composition and motion.
- 5+ years’ experience with graphic & motion design and Adobe CC, such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Advanced knowledge of the graphic design, animation, and video creation process, from storyboards to rendering.
- An ability to translate static imagery concepts into dynamic motion graphics.
- Proven time management skills with an ability to multi-task, work on various projects and meet strict deadlines.
- A high degree of creative, attention to detail and organizational skills.
