Royal Mail P&FS are now recruiting for Mobile Cleaning Operatives at Cockermouth Delivery Office.

Pay: £9.90 per hour
Benefits: 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 25 days with service (Pro rota), uniform, PPE, employee referral scheme and Defined Contribution pension scheme plus a work van and car parking

Working hours: Full time/Part time, 37 hours and 30 Minutes per week, Monday – Saturday Start time 08:00am Finish time 16:00pm
As part of Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions you will work from may start at 0800 or sooner or later. to may finish at 1600 or sooner or later either as part of a team or as the only cleaner on site, ensuring we continue to deliver the high standards of service our customers expect.
About the Role
As a mobile commercial cleaning operative you will be responsible for several locations in CA postcode area covering annual leave, absences etc. You’ll be responsible for variety of tasks including mopping, toilet cleaning, washing walls, vacuuming, emptying bins and dusting, dusting and sanitising surfaces safely and professionally to a high standard.
We require someone who can operate a variety of cleaning equipment. However, full training will be provided. This role will be physically challenging and involves manual handling activities.
Driving Licence - given the nature of the role and the distance between locations you will have a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points. We provide a work vehicle (van) and pay for fuel expenses between sites.
About You
Previous cleaning experience is desired, but not essential. Naturally friendly, with good written and verbal communication skills, you’ll be able to communicate with customers and managers whilst complying with Health & Safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, self-motivated with a keen eye for detail. You’ll be able to work on your own initiative, organising your own time, as you’ll be managed remotely.
