Job description
Will be able to fabricate and weld steel sizes 2mm to 12mm for the refurbishment and restoration of older type 'slam door' railway carriages, working to high standards of quality finish.
Repairing structures and bodywork, working to drawings and producing bespoke parts by copying originals and using initiative to problem solve. Cutting out corroded steel areas in all positions on carriages and preparing new sections, including folding and shaping, for welding into position.
Must be capable of producing high quality all positional MIG welding and will be required to achieve testing to comply with company procedures.
Will have a flexible approach to undertaking a wide range of activities within a multi-disciplined workshop.

Salary: From £14.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
