About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time, MLA to join our Rapid Response Laboratory at The Royal Free Hospital.
Main duties will include assisting with the daily running of the laboratory section to which you have been assigned within the department, to assist in the performance of the routine diagnostic analytical work of the department as directed and to maintain the highest professional and technical standards in the department.
The successful candidate will prepare, store and retrieve when necessary frozen aliquots, 24hr urine aliquots, microbiology and routine blood samples, alert the appropriate departments on receipt of urgent samples, frozen samples and samples requiring special handling and to be familiar with the laboratory computer systems, including confident use of the test/client libraries, HSL intranet and referral database during data entry.
You will be expected to work 24/7 shifts in the sample reception department.
