Medical Assistant, Pediatrics
The Opportunity:
The Sutcliffe Clinic, in Los Altos, is looking for an experienced medical assistant to join our multidisciplinary team of pediatric providers who feel passionate about helping children and their families!

The Sutcliffe Clinic is a pediatric clinic dedicated to helping parents raise happy kids through an integrated, multidisciplinary team model that considers the whole child and the whole family. About You:
You are an experienced and certified medical assistant with experience in pediatrics. Most importantly, you are interested in helping families, creating a positive patient experience, and working collaboratively with a team of medical professionals. You are organized, reliable, able to follow through with tasks, enjoy working on teams, warm and welcoming with families and love to learn!
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with physicians to prepare for patient appointments
- Room patients, collect vital signs and assist during visits as needed
- Assist physicians as needed with communication with families
- Triage patient messages and respond to patient messages, when appropriate
- Confirm prescription refills, contact pharmacies when needed, and send tasks to physicians
- Obtain medication authorizations as needed
- Facilitate patient check-out after visits
- Assist in internal and external referrals
- Other duties assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with computer software programs and EMR systems.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from an approved school/institution or equivalent documented training or an undergraduate college degree
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a medical assistant.
