Job Summary:
You are an experienced Heavy Equipment PM Mechanic who takes pride in the maintenance of production mining equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment on a surface mine site
- Safely service heavy equipment as required and directed
- Complete equipment inspections, report repairs required and assist in scheduling repairs
- Operate fuel/service truck safely and efficiently
- Assist in maintaining inventory of service kits, lubes, oils, and other supplies
- Coordinate equipment service activities with production and maintenance team members
- Support Mechanics with repairs
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
- Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum one-year experience of heavy equipment maintenance is required
- Knowledge of parts and servicing of Cat, Hitachi & Komatsu equipment
- Must have valid photo identification
- MSHA p.48 metal/nonmetal ticket is required; training and support is provided to obtain or update certificates if needed
Work Conditions:
- Rotation of 5/4, 12-hour day shifts; night shifts are required
- Ability to work overtime if required
