An Overview of the Job Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Fun & Active family as a Marketing & Design Assistant. As a creative individual, you will play a key part in the production of our design and marketing material, working closely with our Marketing Manager and Graphic Designer. This double-edged role will see you using an eye for detail to generate a variety of media, as well as high-standard marketing and social media content.

Key Responsibilities

MARKETING:

· Create engaging written and video content for our social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Tik Tok keeping in mind each audience.

· Generate content for our weekly marketing e-newsletter campaign using HubSpot.

· Assist with different SEO and website development projects.

· Send emails to school contacts using HubSpot to support an increase in google reviews.

· Respond to google reviews.

· Assist with organising different trade shows and exhibitions.

· Obtain quality photos and assets for completed projects on site.

· Occasional competitor research to inspire new ideas for expanding our offering.

· Occasional office support i.e. answering phone calls.

· Any other reasonable request by the Marketing Manager or Director.

DESIGN:

· Assist the Graphic Designer with completing design artwork, ensuring it remains in line with company branding.

· Assist with keeping our primary media channels up to date with design elements, imagery, and info. This includes our website, FB catalogue, product brochure, game photos, scaled games document, cutting files etc.

· Select and edit photos from each completed job for use in marketing and design material. Also suggest nominations and choose winner for our Photo of the Month internal competition.

· Support our design team where needed by assisting with playground designs and amendments, ensuring they are completed to a high standard, and within our SLA.

What you’ll need

· English GCSE (A*-C) or equivalent

· Degree level qualification or equivalent in design and/or marketing

· Minimum of 2 years experience in a design or marketing role

· Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

· Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, inc. Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

· An understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, YouTube, and Meta Business Suite.

· An understanding of both digital and print technical processes.

· An understanding of the design process from sketching to final product.

· Design portfolio displaying recent projects.

Attributes

· Capable of working towards and meeting deadlines.

Desirable

· Knowledge of After Effects and Premiere Pro

· Knowledge of WordPress and HubSpot

· Confident in photography as well as being in front of a camera

Salary

£22,5000 - £27,500

Hours

Full time, Permanent

37.5 hours per week with 30 minute lunch break

8/9am – 4/5pm Weekdays

28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
