Full Time London, England 25000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Do you want to be part of something fulfilling? Somewhere where you can really make your mark? Have you decided that a big corporate isn’t for you? Are you frustrated with how soul destroying it is to find a job? Are you passionate about leaving the world a better place than when you found it?

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

About Pollen:

Pollen is an entry-level careers platform that helps young people find skilled jobs – in industries or companies they otherwise wouldn’t have heard of. We’re developing a tech solution that inspires, empowers and motivates job seekers to find a job that’s right for them.

No matter what their background or qualifications, we want every young person to have an equal chance of success. We’re committed to revolutionising the entry-level employment system by connecting applicants with responsible employers in more meaningful and sustainable ways.

About the Role:

We’re in the very early stages of our business and we’re looking for an all-round life enthusiast to join us on our exciting journey. This entry-level position will involve a range of contributions to our growth, including market research, social media marketing, content development, product development, brand design and more.

As a start-up, we’re looking for someone with big ideas, who wants to be part of something where they can really make a difference.

You will love this job if you:

- Are passionate about improving the way in which other young people find jobs

- Are expressive, confident and willing to share your opinions

- Enjoy using social media, networking and building connections

- Have an interest in marketing, technology and how to grow a brand

- Are super keen to learn, get involved and able to be proactive with your own learning

If you're excited at the thought of being part of an ambitious, mission-led business, right from the early stages, then this job could be for you.

Job Type:

We are open to applicants seeking both full-time and part-time roles, and are able to adapt contracted hours for the right candidate. Please note that on a full-time basis, we operate under a 9-day fortnight or 4.5 day week, whichever is preferred.

The role is initially a 3-month internship with the potential to extend and/or go into a permanent position. Please be aware that while we are deeply committed to growing our business and team, we cannot guarantee that this position will become permanent.

Our vision is that as an integral part of our journey, you will grow with the company – personally, professionally and financially. But if you are cautious about the risks that come with joining a start-up, this job might not be for you.

Location:

The role is hybrid, with our co-working space located in London (N8).

Salary: £25k full-time equivalent

Start date: August / September 2023

Benefits:

We haven’t quite figured these out yet! What we can commit to is:

- Flexibility

- Opportunity for learning and development

- Fair compensation

- Human-first culture and values

- Enjoyable and purposeful work

Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion:

We actively encourage candidates from underrepresented communities to apply. We are working on a technology solution that seeks to remove bias from the hiring process and in the meantime, we are making every effort remove biases from our own hiring processes. Therefore we encourage you to:

- Exclude your name and gender from your application (replacing with initials is fine)

- Exclude the name of your academic institutions from your application (and any reference to locations in which you’ve lived)

- Emphasise content relating to your interests, passions and motivations

- Send your CV as a max 2-page doc with basic formatting

The process:

Stage 1 – we will invite you to complete a short quiz which assesses your personality type, followed by a fun task

Stage 2 – informal first stage interview with founder

Stage 3 – informal second stage interview with advisory board

We will provide personalised feedback to every candidate that applies.
