Position: Marketing Specialist
Reports to: People Leader, Supporter Centric Marketing
Position Term: Full Time Term until March 21, 2025
Workplace Type: Remote across Canada
Job Purpose:
World Vision Canada’s Supporter Centric Marketing group focuses on delivering the right message, to the right audience, with the right solution at the right time. Our Marketing Specialists are key members in our product teams.
The Marketing Specialist will deliver world-class, personalized impact content to our supporters. Support the development, execution and ongoing monitoring of marketing initiatives.
They will be responsible for actively creating solutions and collaborating with product team members to deliver value to our supporters and achieve organizational objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Update Shopify and create engaging email content including proofing and editing to ensure accuracy and consistency with copy and images while meeting established deadlines.
- Develop, test and deploy digital marketing assets, analyze performance, and make recommendations.
- Assist in the creation of marketing strategic plans that consider multiple customer segment preferences and personas, technical feasibility, budget, KPIs and business viability.
- Identify shortfalls and provide recommendations for improvement plans, optimization and innovation.
- Compile analysis results of campaigns identifying trends and offer recommendations for future initiatives that create lift to key metrics.
- Continually adjust and adapt product retention journeys in accordance with the journey mapping and pivot or change directions to provide better customer experience and meet targets.
- Personalize content/appeals to target specific customer segments, leveraging customer data & insights to support evidence-based strategy.
- Work alongside audience/segment teams to develop tests and strategies that innovate and improve campaign revenue and ROI.
- Stay up to date on market trends, supporter engagement strategies, and competitive activity.
- Partner with World Vision International for relevant marketing initiatives for the Canadian market and share with other teams.
- Post-secondary education in relevant area preferred.
- 3-5 years of marketing experience.
- Minimum 3+ years’ of experience in either ecommerce, fundraising, or digital marketing.
- Advanced working knowledge of Shopify and MS Office Suite.
- Strong creative communication skills (written/spoken).
- Confident leveraging analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, or Google Analytics etc.)
- Experience with Mail Chimp, Acoustic or Adobe Journey Optimizer an asset.
- Strong organization and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate within teams and perform cross-functional tasks.
- Track record of successful project management, analytical, execution skills, and results.
- An innovative mindset with the ability to think like the customer and a willingness to test and learn.
- A passion for learning/ growing and ability to stay up to speed on industry trends.
- Familiarity working within an Agile framework, Scrum and Kanban.
- Familiar with Product Design Thinking and applying them to various stages fostering a culture of experimentation.
