Job description
Maintenance Engineer required for specialist supply company based in Gloucester, GL2, paying £38,000 to £39,000 plus a decent benefits package. WORKING STRAIGHT DAYS MONDAY TO FRIDAY.
Our client is looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer that is roughly 50/50 mechanical and electrical to carry out planned and preventative maintenance on all their equipment as well as the infrastructure. You will be working with a small but passionate team who all have one goal which is to ensure the continued success of the business. The senior management team are continually looking at ways to improve the service they offer their customers which results in new equipment and processes being introduced to the shop floor.
As multi-skilled maintenance engineer your role will involve the following duties:
- stripping out and repairing production equipment
- welding and fabrication of parts and equipment
- plumbing
- rewiring of equipment
- ensuring planned maintenance of equipment is carried out to prevent machine stoppage's
- carrying out reactive maintenance in an efficient manner to lessen downtime of equipment
- suggesting improvements to plant and equipment
- competence in both mechanical and electrical disciplines
- 18th edition electrical qualification
- be agile as you will need to be able to manoeuvre in and around equipment
- experience of working in a heavy duty environment would be useful
