We are currently looking to recruit a Marketing Specialist to join our award-winning business in Rochdale.
This role sits within the busy and growing Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Marketing Team, reporting to the Marketing Manager for Animal Safety & Genomics. The area of responsibility is Marketing & Communications for the Genomics offering within the area of Genomic Analysis for the agricultural biotechnology industry across EMEA. This role works closely with Product Management and other Marketing functions, in particular Digital, Conferencing & Events. To succeed in this role, you will need good scientific understanding, excellent oral and written communication skills, organisation, and project management skills. You will need to be creative and commercially astute with an eagerness to learn. A team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Based in our Rochdale site, our team supports the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian (EMEAI) territories for Neogen Corporation, a top performing NASDAQ listed business employing over 2,000 people worldwide.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Creation and implementation of marketing plans, integrating Digital to deliver on brand objectives and drive business growth.
- Execute effective marketing campaigns, product launches and initiatives, deploy active promotion of agreed products through appropriate channels.
- Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and practices, know your target customers. Develop your knowledge of products and services, their features and benefits and relationships to their environment to ensure USPs, positioning and value propositions are reflected in marketing output.
- Proactively research, identify, source, and develop content that demonstrates the benefits of and explains the science, technology, and knowledge-led application of promoted products.
- Create, write, and edit persuasive marketing materials – including newsletters, web content, press releases and white papers.
- Work closely with the marketing team and sales managers / product managers / business development to ensure all stakeholder views are represented and initiatives fully aligned.
- Work with the MARCOM team in the USA to ensure a coordinated approach.
- Work collaboratively with marketing colleagues including, digital, graphics and events.
- Collaborate with PM on NPI processes as required to plan and execute successful product launch.
- Monitor and seek out new tools, media channels and partners that will help to promote our products and reach target markets.
- Assist in carrying out market research and customer surveys to assess demand, brand positioning and awareness.
- Compile / review marketing reports and data to identify trends and actionable conclusions for ongoing improvement of ROI and key metrics.
Skills & Experience required includes:
- Ability to research, gather and synthesize technical/scientific background information to produce well-rounded content in a style appropriate to the publication/communication channel and its audience.
- Good understanding of core and digital marketing principles.
- The ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, easy to communicate stories and messages.
- A sound appreciation of content marketing and what makes it effective.
- Excellent organization and project management skills.
