Overview
Nomad have an exciting and unique opportunity within our global Marketing department for a Marketing Manager to join the Nomad team on a 12 month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave (September 2023 start date)
The successful candidate will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of our Marketing strategy and day-to-day marketing activities. They will need to be highly organised, pro-active, self-motivated and a strategic thinker as they will be managing multiple projects with tight deadlines across diverse teams and departments.
We are looking for an exceptional communicator and someone who understands multi-channel communications, including digital marketing principles. They should have a commercial mindset and the ability to project manage marketing campaigns: from publications to email marketing, from digital advertising to creative content and from event planning to product marketing.
This role will contribute directly to the business goals and offer the right person the chance to develop their marketing skills, working in a small team - with a big impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Budget
- Manage Marketing budget effectively and in line with events and marketing department plans for the remainder of FY24.
- Develop and manage FY25 Marketing budget for submission with GHD & MD & in line with projected marketing activity including events.
People
Manage a Marketing Executive & ensure they support you and the business in delivering Marketing plans for the remainder of FY24 & FY25.
Events
- Manage & deliver the remainder of the FY24 events plan in line with Global and Regional strategies.
- Develop, manage & deliver FY25 events plan in line with Global and Regional strategies, including planning & executing.
- Monitor and draw conclusions from event ROI to help with future event planning & budget allocation.
Communications
- Oversee Communications plan including internal and external streams of activity for Nomad:
External: Social Media
- Manage social media strategy to support Marketing Executive in planning & delivering comms via external channels.
External: Media (Publications)
- Manage relationship with Media & Membership partners and monitor effectiveness of campaigns quarterly with each to adjust plans to suit our needs and audience.
- Collaborate with internal teams to continue to communicate good news from departments, projects & customer awards: PR, Case Studies.
Internal Comms
- Plan & manage internal events
- Ensure internal communication channels: Yammer, Sharepoint, Nomad Intranet & others are used effectively to share key updates across the business and are designed in a user-friendly way.
Product Marketing
- Manage Product Marketing activity through collaboration with the Head of Product Management & regular contact with the individual Product Managers. Understand Product objectives and ensure toolkit of Product Marketing collateral is updated and new created to support commercial teams in communicating the latest features of products & benefits to end user.
- Manage & deliver the remainder of the FY24 Product Marketing plan in line with Product strategy and latest features/developments of products in collaboration with the Product Team.
- Develop, manage & deliver FY25 Product Marketing plan in line with Product strategy and latest features/developments of products in collaboration with the Product Team.
Branding
- To act as a Brand ambassador for Nomad and guide all Nomad colleagues in representing and applying the Nomad brand correctly.
- Continue to develop relationships with parent company Alstom.
- Continue to develop employer branding strategy to support Marketing Executive in delivering initiatives through communications.
Digital Marketing
- Manage SEO strategy with agency.
- Research & manage website content.
