We're building a firm and looking for a Junior Content Designer with Fintech or Financial Services experience. This is an excellent opportunity to grow and develop and we expect the right candidate to outgrow this role within 2yrs (we'll probably have a bigger role when you do).
You need to be a fast learner who is keen to work with our investment team to transform their views and investment research into readable pieces without confusing jargon.
About the role
Work on a broad range of content types (product/service and marketing) and copywriting challenges e.g. a one liner in-app alert, a newsletter, an application form, SEO-driven website page. You will improve on every touchpoint we have with customers. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to feel they made an impact.
Working in our small firm you will get much better exposure to build your career off (we have a great marketing Alumni).
We work 3 days in the office and the rest from home/office as you please.
We support people with face-to-face and digital financial advice to help clients realise their dreams with a portfolio of investments to meet their needs and attitude to risk.
Our industry can be complex, but we don’t think it should be. Take complex information and create engaging and compelling industry leading copy for our clients.
As a content designer you will be...
- Creating topical content spanning news, investments, personal finance and key ‘life stage’ content e.g. preparing for retirement.
- Translating internal messaging and strategy into client-facing marketing and service material.
- Supporting CX projects e.g. developing messaging at each point of an onboarding journey or contributing to the redesign of a product application form.
- Acting as brand guardian for all central client communications and content (emails, push-notifications, letters, site, social).
- Developing messaging frameworks for different client segments.
- Supporting colleagues to improve their own writing.
Accountabilities
- Planning, writing and managing usable and accessible content for a range of audiences.
- Ensure all content developed is aligned with key brand and business objectives.
- Ensure consistency across multiple touchpoints.
- Proactive engagement with financial planning and investment stakeholders.
- Input into the content strategy.
Skills and Experience
- 2+ years working as a copywriter or content designer - we'd love to see samples!
- Ability to engage with and bring technical investment content to life.
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Some experience in Fintech or Financial Services.
- A preference for plain English (there are some messages we have to communicate, but does it need to be in jargon?).
- An interest and/or experience in user centred design, Content Design or other ‘user needs’ focussed discipline.
- Can accurately estimate and manage your time to meet deadlines.
- Broad financial services experience would be a plus.
