Based in Liverpool
We are seeking for an experienced and creative Senior Storyliner with a proven background in drama or journalism to join our team at Hollyoaks.
As a Senior Storyliner, you are expected to continually create, develop and write story arcs independently and in team capacity, take a proactive lead in plotting strands and clarifying story intentions and have a robust knowledge of the Hollyoaks brand to accurately convey the show’s character and tone.
You will collaborate with senior editorial team to achieve agreed channel and production vision as well as oversee the story development process from conception to completion. You will support Story Editors with the day-to-day management of the Story Team but not limited to assisting with the construction of the story board, delegating plotting and writing tasks.
To be successful in our Story team you will actively participate at story conference and board planning keeping abreast of youth culture and maintain an awareness of current cultural issues. You should also have demonstrable knowledge of story structure and cause and effect storytelling by proficiently plotting D, C, B and A level story strands in a long running drama, ideally in an editorial capacity.
