Job Summary:

Location: Farringdon, London and onsite at festivals. Hybrid working, minimum 1 day in the London offices per week. Cardiff and Kent could be particularly relevant locations to commute from.

Working hours: Full-time, including some evenings and weekends for events

Role Description
This role requires overseeing the Marketing for all Soundcrash events and brands including PR, Advertising, Digital and Social Media, and reporting to stake holders. Vital to the role is an strong ability to manage a team of marketeers and a strong knowledge in media planning and managing budgets, leading artwork direction and branding, co-ordinating advertising plans and digital schedules as well as working alongside the Managing Director to keep the direction of the festival true to the original vision and utilising skills to sell the event to capacity. Work on site at events in required throughout summer which usually span weekends.

Soundcrash is a Live Nation owned company and one of the fastest growing business units in the Live Nation family. We focus on two areas, primarily outdoor event series’ including South Facing, Margate Summer Series, Cardiff Bay Series and Brighton Valley Series with over 35 outdoor shows in Summer 2023. Alongside this we have a thriving touring business working with artists such as Jon Hopkins, George Clinton, Black Star (Mos Def & Talib Kweli), Hania Rani and Flying Lotus to name a few.

Please note that like all Live Music companies we experience a very seasonal workload with intense periods during our festival season and a quiet period over Christmas.
Who you are
Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for UK festival markets and events
- Significant marketing experience
- Strong understanding of marketing live music events and festivals, particularly in digital
- Must have worked on advertising campaigns and understand how budgets are split and tracked for ROI/CPC/CPM and value of spend towards sales.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a number of projects at one time
- Must have line managed at least 2 people at once
- Must have dealt with 5 figure marketing budgets, managing them effectively and reporting on them
- Must have done work/research on customer audience profiling and targeting
- Must have experience in collecting and utilising customer data
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Strong IT literay and ability to use Microsoft Office software packages
- Understanding of online tracking and reporting tools

What the role includes
- Understand the market for each event through market analysis, customer profiling and competitor awareness
- Devise and implement marketing strategies with objectives that include increasing brand awareness, expanding customer base and of course selling tickets
- Managing and developing databases, websites, socials and digital assets
- Line managing 3 members of staff and likely to grow further in 2024
- Oversee all Advertising, PR and Digital, applying marketing campaigns across all strands of the team
- Working with the ad agencies, create schedules for advertising campaigns, using a media mix of print and digital advertising, radio campaigns, mail outs, e-shots, flyer and poster distribution, video content, website activity and social networking
- Manage budgets for each of event reporting internally and to Finance department regularly
- Manage co-promotional marketing with co-promoters / local partners, liaising our ticketing agencies, sponsors, artist channels and other external partners
- Establishing reciprocal marketing opportunities with mutually beneficial organisations and events
- Direct, oversee and sign off creative for artwork, including branding and brand development throughout the campaign
- Overseeing onsite marketing of events and booking content creators across events
- Create innovative marketing materials and online formats to engage with press, past purchasers and generate new customer bases
- Implement team reporting methods and processes to ensure everything is cared out correctly by the team
- Monitor advertising practises within the industry and adapt to changes
- Corporate branding; awareness and development is required throughout the season
- Manage alongside Managing Director the administration for direct reports (holidays, payroll amendments, sickness, recruitment etc)
