Join the team of dreams within Future Students, Communication and Marketing where getting the right applicants enrolled on the right course is absolutely key to all activities undertaken by the department and is crucial in a competitive marketplace.


You will have proven expertise and experience in an Events and Marketing role and if in a communication role, even better. Using your events experience, you will manage and oversee the operational delivery of the University’s student recruitment events, including undergraduate and postgraduate open days, offer holder days, campus tours etc.


You will work in collaboration with stakeholders across the University to deliver an integrated and coordinated approach to event delivery, monitoring and evaluation, and ensure an outstanding experience for the target audience. So, you know how to devise and deliver and be confident in building and maintaining effective working relationships.


Proactively leading the development of University Open Days, working across the institution to influence, contribute and build the knowledge and understanding of staff and ensure an optimal cross-university approach to these events. You will develop and deliver streamlined and efficient administrative processes to ensure events deliver value for money methodology.


You will contribute to the provision of summary evaluation to demonstrate clear outcomes, conclusions and recommendations to inform and influence future planning and development of student recruitment event strategy.


About you:


We are looking for an experienced events professional who can demonstrate a positive, proactive and customer focused approach to ensure the delivery of an excellent enquirer and applicant experience.


You will have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to work confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, build relationships, understand a variety of viewpoints, resolve difficult issues and tailor your approach in a way that is relevant to a particular audience. The ability to build consensus around key objectives and maintain strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders is critical to this role.


You will possess excellent planning and organisational skills and be able to carry out detailed assessment and analysis of complex issues and problems using specialist knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.


This role includes line management of four Marketing and Recruitment Assistants who are responsible for supporting events, activities, and administrative processes across all areas of the wider Recruitment and Admissions team.

This is a full-time, permanent post working 37 hours per week. This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.
