The Role
Build and drive an inspiring, inclusive and exciting narrative to build engagement with the Trust’s strategy to deliver leading-edge services, share clinical expertise and drive social action to change outcomes for the millions of people living with a brain injury in the UK. Develop and execute strategies to build and integrate internal and external communications in one concerted push to engage and galvanise stakeholders, inspiring a small but creative team to deliver quality communications outcomes. Deputise for the Director of Communications and The Foundation, as appropriate.
Main Responsibilities: (but not limited to)
- To deliver strategic marketing outcomes for the Trust, underpinning strategic objectives with stellar, multi-channel marketing approaches.
- To build and develop marketing and advertising campaigns, which cement the Trust’s new brand in the marketplace and drive action.
- To lead the Marketing Manager to build a roster of celebrity ambassadors and patrons, engaging them in the Trust’s work in a meaningful way.
- To lead the Marketing Manager to deliver a successful events programme, which helps build the Trust’s thought leadership activity across multiple platforms, including our own webinars and headline brain injury conference.
- To oversee the development of the Trust’s new website, ensuring it remains fresh and relevant.
- To work with the Marketing Manager to manage agencies effectively and to guide the right agency management approaches.
- To guide the Marketing Manager and Digital Officer to build the right social media and content approaches.
- To work with the Director of Comms and The Foundation to act as an ambitious brand guardian, ensuring that the new brand Is delivered in a creative way, which cuts through to different audiences.
About You
- Chartered Institute of Marketing Certificate LOR equivalent qualification in Communications or Marketing
- Demonstrable knowledge of developing and delivering systematic communications and marketing activity
- Sound understanding of the effectiveness of various communications channels and the ability to translate complex information into meaningful communications
- Sound knowledge of the latest marketing practices, including in a digital forum
- Clear knowledge and experience of creating engaging collateral, and deploying the right message across multiple platforms and channels
- Solid knowledge of crisis communications principles
- Proven knowledge of creating and delivering integrated, strategic marketing and communications plans, in support of organisational goals, to multiple stakeholders
