This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing marketing team at one of the largest academic departments at the University of Warwick.
We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about marketing and communication, with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for the marketing of activity within the WMG centre High Value Manufacturing Catapult. The successful candidate will be liaising with academics, researchers and project managers to gain information for inclusion via our communications channels including print, online and social media, therefore excellent communication skills are a must. Significant copywriting and editing skills are required, as you’ll need to be able to present technical research to a lay audience. Experience of using content management systems and writing for the web are essential.
Significant knowledge of branding will be essential, along with previous experience of working with designers, to enable the creation of collateral for exhibitions and events, including banners and displays. A high level of teamwork will be required for this role to assist with the liaison between the WMG Marketing and Communications team and the Catapult team, to ensure brand compliance and exposure for the centre.
The successful candidate will bring experience of conducting market research activity to feed into the overall marketing strategy and plan for the centre, making sure this aligns with the overall WMG marketing strategy and plan.
Educated to A Level, the successful candidate will have relevant communications and marketing experience e.g. working within Higher Education or technology led organisation.

Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
To implement the WMG centre HVM Catapult marketing strategy and plan by undertaking a wide range of marketing and communications activities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for developing marketing collateral to promote the research activities within the centre, this will include brochures, leaflets, adverts, exhibition banners, stationery, presentations, e-newsletter, photography, video, website and promotional items. To be responsible for providing content for the centre’s social media channels using these as part of an integrated marketing approach.
2. To manage events and exhibitions for WMG centre to promote the research activities undertaken by the centre. To develop a process for following up leads gained at events/ exhibitions.
3. To develop written content for both print and website which highlights the research capabilities and facilities of the centre. This will include through editorial articles, impact case studies, and general web content.
4. To undertake market research activity to inform the marketing strategy and plan.
5. To contribute to and implement the WMG centre HVM Catapult marketing strategy and plan through a variety of tactical marketing and communication activities in order to raise the awareness of the research activities funded through the centre. These marketing activities will be in line with the WMG marketing strategy and plan. All activities to be in line with the WMG brand and HVM Catapult brands.
6. To build relationships with the WMG Marketing and Communications team working with them on providing content for editorial opportunities and ensuring the WMG brand is implemented.
7. Provide input and attend, when required, HVM Catapult marketing meetings to ensure understanding of the wider marketing and communications landscape within the other six centres and the HVM Catapult marketing team.
