Job description
Night shift Manufacturing Manager.
At the Sheldon's Family Bakery, we produce some of the most iconic bread products in the UK. Part of what makes this family bakery unique are it's people. Through continued expansion and investment, we are increasing our Management Team at our Manchester site.
We are looking for a Night shift Manufacturing Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Directors of the business you’ll be required to lead, manage and develop your team to work safely and effectively. Whilst delivering the operational strategy and driving a culture of food safety and continuous improvement
What's in the job?
- You will be responsible for all production and Distribution tasks within our 3 bakeries.
- Ensure all manufacturing operations are performed by self and colleagues based on approved technical specifications. Ensuring clean as you go is engrained in your daily work approach.
- Management of employees, including training, coaching, return to work, counselling and disciplinaries, as required
- Drive a culture of operational excellence by eliminating waste.
- On Time in Full (OTIF) Production – Ensure planed volumes are achieved, and dispatches for outbound finished goods are made as per each day’s dispatch or warehouse schedule
- Keep Abreast of the Relevant Legislation and Directives; Communicate changes and their Impact to your Supervisors and colleagues. Ensure Compliance through the Policies and Systems you Control.
- You will work as part of a Shift System of at least 4 shifts. Each shift is 12 hours (6am to 6pm)

Personal Profile
- Experience building, motivating and improving a team
- Previous production management experience, leading teams to achieve targets
- Experience of monitoring and maintaining productivity of production lines within a manufacturing environment
- Food Manufacturing industry experience
